Workout for Grade Five Dirt Sprint (5ft)
[/color][/blockquote][/blockquote]It was time to do the dirt sprint horses. We only have one entered this time since the other racer Native Gold have won her latest race bumping her up to grade four now. So the only entry we have now is the palomino filly named Golden Grove. She have had a slow season and is beginning to shine now though. Placing exercise bandages on her limbs so she wouldn't strain any tendons while she was running was a must. Tegan was a great horse and we didn't want to injure her now. Working her alone on the dirt track while the gates were beginning checked. Tegan loved to breeze and she shows how muched she loved to run by moving her ears all the time.
While she was breezing we checked the other entries for the same race and to check the competition basically. Gate Two was our other injure but was sctracted so this gate would be replaced by grey filly by Silver Perfection Stables. She have won the two horses she have entered, her style of racing varies, so she needs to be carefully watched, as she is a threat. The next gate held the chestnut colt from Close Racing Stables. He is front runner and could have a problem with stamina, so his name was marked blue to keep an eye on him. The next gate held another grey colt from Oak Hill Farm. He was a mid runner and a new horse on the field, we weren't sure how this horse was like, but with his record he has a few thirds. Blue marked around his name as he needed closest watch and hopefully Tegan could match his tricks, since she like to hang right of the back of the runners. The next gate held the light bay filly from Star Thoroughbred Stables. She is a preceder and the main threat, she was another horse to watch. Just two years old and with a record of two wins, two seconds and one third, she creatinly have top performance. The last gate held another grey colt from Knowned Stables, he wasn't much of a threat so our main force was to be able to beat the filly from Star Thoroughbreds.
The gates were ready and the palomino filly went into the gates no trouble. She stood there waiting for those gates to open. Then ten seconds later the gates sprung open and the filly broke cleanly and started to get into a easy running stride. The stride was smooth and tough, as she kept on going, forcing herself onto the race ahead. The wind was blowing softly and her blue eyes were still watching the track, lightly she felt the reins tapping her neck and she went a little faster, as she came to the turn. Dirt was getting kicked in the air and she loved it very much. The final turn have come and she was creeping up some more like she was passing the stalking horses, her limbs went faster and wider. Then lastly she crossed the finishing line and she was shaking her dial like to enjoyed it and wanted more, she wanted to keep running and she was ready to win.
