SPEED RUSH AND ATTRACTIVE FLIGHT WORK FOR MAGIC MILLIONS
Just like their sires before them, Speedy and Matty had an intense rivalry. Every time they worked together, if one of them beat the other, the other would definitely win next time. As it was, Matty was due to win. They were both entered in the Magic Millions two year old stakes races, with Speed Rush going for the Magic Millions Colts Turf Sprint and Attractive Flight running in the Magic Millions Colts Dirt Sprint. Both had small fields, with Speedy having to contend with three other colts and Matty with two.
As they'd both raced just last weekend in the Stable Face Off, they were taking it easy today with a slow six furlong gallop. Beginning with a trot to warm up on the dirt, each rider considered their upcoming races. Speed Rush was up against Tears Of Blood, Arelquinn, and Kosoku. Tears of Blood was a Silver Stride Stables colt, with a record of 3-1-1-1. He had not raced since the beginning of February, where he had placed third. Arelquinn was from Oak Hill Farm, and a half brother of Blazing Kiss through sire Memorials Blaze. He had a record of 3-0-2-1 and was coming off a second place in last weekend's Stable Face Off.
Kosoku from Triple Krown Racing had raced just once, back in February week three for a second place in a two horse field. Speed Rush himself had a record of 6-2-1-2, and was coming off a win in the Stable Face Off in which he had defeated three four year old colts. The Speed Demon x Rush Hour colt was definitely making his sire proud, because Speed Demon had also defeated older horses at just two years old.
Attractive Flight was up against Aquatic Addiction and Mastermind. Aquatic Addiction was from Silver Stride Stables, and had a record of 4-2-2-0. He was by Shiver Me Timbers and out of GS Addicted To Love. Mastermind was from Witch Creek Stables, and had a record of 6-3-2-0. He was by Speed Demon, making him half to Speed Rush, and out of El Sol Del Mar.
