[/size]Once again the black filly would end up on the tracks again. Terri Lane was very proud of Passion even if she came in 3rd at the 2012 Lockness Maiden at The Wire. She was still holding herself pretty well for a new racer. The Filly may have had a temper but, she showed her true potential on the Track. At the ready the black filly, pounded to the ground and the bell sounded and it was like a burst of energy. Terri held on for dear life as the filly was blazing down the track.
As usual she found herself pushing herself to the front but, not too much. Mason was there watching over being the handler and all. He held the watch and thought to himself most of the time. The filly seemed to show quality today. Passion was all over the track keeping her pace accurate for the first few furlongs. Coming to the end of the back stretch is when the black filly picked up the pace and changing her gallop she gained more speed catching up to the others training on the track. Terri twirled her mane in her fingers to grip hold as the filly ran faster then the start of the workout. Coming to the last stretch the filly paced as hard as she could coming nose to nose to the other competitor.
Of course, Passion showed she belonged on the track she was a racehorse and she was fighting to get to the finish and she did rearing up after coming to the end calming down soon after where Terri gave her a pat on the neck. After finishing her workout the Filly seemed to snort before pounding her hooves once again. "How'd she do this time?" Terri said still on the fillies back looking at the handler. Passion had her head high and ears up as if she wasn't even tired and raised her head to look at the others running.
"She's still a bit pushy at the start we need to cut her back some more so she doesn't go into the lead right away." He said putting his watch back into his pocket. Terri gave him a look and then looked at her horse sliding off her back. Pulling the reins she decided to hand walk the filly back to the truck. Mason wanted to figure out how to train a hard headed filly into not starting into the lead so fast. He would work on that in later time.
