GS SUPER CHARGED Ridden by Chris Stevens
(July Dirt Stakes Workout // July)
The Admiral Revenge Colt GS Super Charged was to race in the July Dirt Stakes and had to get prepared for it. He was a brilliant colt with a brilliant blood-line not many were blood related to War Admiral or Man O' War. He shared a paddock with Bowen Acres Gamble on Peace and Declarate but on occasion would race down the fence against other runners. Chris walked Ben onto the track and thanks to the colt being dual surfaced he did best on both tracks. The staff was proud to have a wonderful colt in their stables.
Chris moved him to the gate where the colt remained silent and calm which was rare given he was hard headed and stubborn. Getting to the ready the horse was off in a jiffy accelerating but, his leg choice was to stay behind the pack seeming to not do well and stay far behind as possible. Luckily coming along the back stretch the colt exceeded to do what he did best and that was to run. Being the son to a triple crown winner was rare and highly expensive and this case the owner got lucky to meet a new friend to help her out in getting a new champion. Chris was happy to ride the horse.
Working their way through the backstretch Ben turned to the last turn and with Chris to give the colt a little push Ben finally lived up to his potential and accelerated gaining some high powered speed which he received from both sides of his parents. The colt was sweaty and when crossing the wire Ben trotted moving sideways to show off his good looks. Chris shook his head and raised his goggles over his head to sit on top of his helmet taking a breather after that amazing workout.
"Good job Ben now let's play nice while giving you a bath huh?" He said pulling the reins to have him come to a walk off the track. After coming off the track Chris got off his back and took off his saddle while keeping the reins on him. Walking over to the hose and water things and began to brush the colt before getting him all wet and soapy. After bathing the colt he waited for the thoroughbred to dry before placing a blue blanket on the colt so he wouldn't get cold.
"We are going to kick butt out there aren't we?" He said placing the colt back in the stables to rest for his race in a few days or weeks or so. Chris was also excited about this race he wanted Ben to become like his sire and win the Triple crown but, a lot of work had to be done the first thing to do was to have a great deal of bond with Ben so he could get to know him more. Only time was of the essence. Chris headed out and got ready...
