Y14 January Week 4

These were the HARDEST races EVER to judge, which is why I have been staying away from judging the UH. These are the best horses out there!

Unicorn Horn Juvenile Dirt
Win: Saintly Touch
Place: Impressionable
3rd: Vengeance
Fourth: Ultimate Revenge
Fifth: Flaming Confidenza
Sixth: Furious Flyer

Saintly Touch: This colt stalked the pace the entire race. He was the strong one here. Ripley, congrats on his win. He is a fierce competitor.

Impressionable: This was the strongest filly in the field. She held back in third and fourth throughout the race. When Saintly Touch made his move, she dashed along on the rail. They battled down the stretch, with Vengeance on their tails. She was just edged out. She is very strong and has a big heart for racing.

Vengeance: Snowy, this is one amazing filly. She held the lead since they came out of the gate. Her strength showed early on. She could've held on, if Saintly Touch hadn't overcome her on the outside and Impressionable sneaked by on the rail. She is an incredible runner. This could've been her race, but she fell just slightly short. Good things to come from her.

Ultimate Revenge: Cavvy, this HUGE colt just towered over the field. He held second place throughout, giving a dual with Vengeance. He just got overpowered in this race. He is a strong competitor. He will get you some wins, this year.

Flaming Confidenza: Sammy, this is one amazing filly. This just wasn't her race. She is a gorgeous blonde. She was just blocked in the pack and couldn't make the move she wanted and needed. She will get her win very, very soon. She is a strong competitor.

Furious Flyer: This colt was third at the start. He was just overpowered today. Snowy, you have an incredible colt here. His win is coming soon.

that is why i stayed away from the juvenile dirt too. lol Go Saintly Touch! I love that colt. GJ Ripley.

Unicorn Horn Turf Classic
Win: Infinite Warcry
Place: Blue Me Away
Show: Paradise Island
Fourth: A Royal Legacy
Fifth: Hokum
Sixth: Italian Ice

Infinite Warcry: I felt Infini was the strongest horse in this tough, tough field. He is an incredibly strong closer. He held back in fourth and fifth throughout the race then BAM! He pulled himself by everybody in the top of the stretch. He had a great 2 and a half length win. Congrats Cavvy!

Blue Me Away: This boy was fresh off of his Breeders Cup Mile run. He held the lead along with Paradise Island. They both could've probably made it to the wire if the strong Infini wouldn't have been on top game. Snowy, this is a megastar colt. He flourishes on the track. He just gets up and goes. He had a fantastic run today.

Paradise Island: This mare is incredible. I'm so glad to have given her back to you, Meg. She is going to do very well this year for you. She held the lead, having a head bobbing dual with Blue Me Away. She is going to do wonders this year. She won't disappoint you.

A Royal Legacy: I'm very fond of this horse. He is such a strong racer. He was caught wide and couldn't make up the ground. He could've passed them all if they all weren't bunched up together. Kirsty, he is great. He is so strong on the track. He will be a magnificent stud someday for you.

Hokum: Hokum held third throughout the race. Once the stretch came, he got pushed back in the pack. Don't let it discourage you Ripley. This big boy will have his moments. He is strong just like every other horse in this field.

Italian Ice: This gorgeous mare stalked the front runners in the race. She couldn't get her move going. The others overpowered her. She is a great mare, Frosty. She will get you some wins this year. If she could have found a spot, she would've had it.

I know these races were close, both here and the juvie races at TW, but is there something that's making them not click well? I really didn't expect all of my juvies to run last this week, especially Siren Call.

Sammy, Jazzaway is a good horse don't get me wrong but in a field that strong I felt he lacked potential and couldn't keep up. It was a good race though. Put him in some lower class races until he's back on his feet then I'm sure he'll knock em' dead. Happy new year. :-)
