Windsor is a lovable, intelligent giant. She's got big Canadian bones so she looks formidable but she's a gentle creature at heart. She's smart, and a bit of a joker, as well as quite clever - she's often found wandering through the stables after working the mechanism on the door, and nobody ever bothers to stop her because far from causing trouble, she simply meanders around and finds a nice grazing spot, or something interesting to watch. She loves running, and while very fast, she didn't do so well as a race horse because the pressure of being in a race was too much for her, and she was frightened of the starting gate. So even when she did race, she was so wigged out that she was out of energy by the time the race started. At the exercise track it was a different story - she was always everyone's favorite workout partner because she cast an air of calm about her, and helped other horses to focus.
Naturally, when she retired at three years old after only a few starts, she was trained as a proper riding horse before being sent to stud. Her kind temper and large, solid frame meant that she made an excellent workout partner and lead pony. She has energy, make no mistake and needs to get out every so often for a good run, but she is a good soul - just don't ask her to compete. The lime light is her enemy.
