High tensions were growing with the Triple Crown around a long corner and Carlos was hoping to approach Noadiance, a son to HoF Radiance and grandson to HoF True Enough, to the spot of the Triple Crown. The colt was a sweet boy nothing more than to please his humans and flirt with the ladies was his ideal attitude and today he would approach both with stable mates StarFire and Red Admiral. The colt had one advantage to his case and that was his well known older sister Reflected in Water who won a leg of the Triple Tiara last year.
He was being worked with Bucephalus filly StarFire who needed one more race to meet Grade Four standards and Meredith Hently was certain she would go the distance with this filly like she had with Remi. Meredith would work on the brown filly and she would be an inspiration. She won the Stable Face-Off that made her a worthy opponent and most recently her little brother had joined the racing game. The filly was a stalker and she was learning quickly of the horses she could sneak up on and those who couldn't. The filly was one who seemed innocent and sweet but in truth she was a caniving and stubborn that made others looks the other way.
Next was Red Admiral, the 6 year old beautiful chestnut mare who seemed to be glowing these passed few months. Terri Lane was her jockey and the two were close like best friends. Addy was more like a proper horse it was more of her personality she took things to the delicate levels in the paddocks but on the tracks she turned into something else entirely using her fierceness to push onto the others when most desired. Addy would retire by the end of this season where she would be paired with Van Guard as her first date before motherhood. At the moment she was settled to run in the weeks of April and would enjoy challenging the younger divisions so proudly.
Noah took off into a canter to a soon gallop with the following of Red Admiral and StarFire. He galloped with a small sense of humor in his canter that soon he realized what they were doing and they meant business before he took off with a serious notion. He started out falling back of the pack while Red Admiral thrusted for the lead keeping her eyes peeled forward. StarFire rose her tail in the excitement before she got comfortable in high tensions stalking the chestnut mare. Sparx was a wildfire and she would move to the center of the track to gain the momentum needed before Noah made his move on the inside pushing himself with his hind legs to set half a length behind Addy.
Noah rose his head to get a small glimpse before striking back near the end of the back stretch where he pulled on the outside. StarFire continued her approach on the inside keeping her small frame from getting lodged between them. Red Admiral however had the maturity and experience and she knew just how to play them for fools. Along the homestretch the mare pulled back some before gaining the lead again and beating the colt by a length and the filly by two. They were all within reasons and all would come to run perfect races this season.
