WITCH CREEK STABLE BREEDING OPENINGS
After a very hot start for Witch Creek's freshmen sires Popcorn Blitz, Positively Precious, Mr. Hat and Clogs and Sweeto Cheeto in Year Fifteen, Witch Creek is out to promote a few more studs that they think will be huge in the racing industry years from now. Witch Creek will be offering two stud prospects in Year Sixteen for your consideration.
Flashpoint is the ultimate stud prospect for a rising breeding family. The first son of Flash Limits is a half-brother to Hall Of Fame mare Paranormal Hunter, Risorgimento Derby and Dubai Filly Cup winner Fiery Touch, Preakness winner Sizzling Dawn and the highly lauded juvenile Animatia.
His grandsire, Beyond The Limits, is a breeding Hall of Famer himself and sire of hot juvenile Fire Goddess and Grade One winners Limitless Time, Prize Me Proud and After Dusk. Flashpoint descends from the blue hen mare Warm Wishes who is dam to turf monster Wish Upon A Star, the versatile Wishing For A Heroine, and freshmen grade three sire The Rising.
Flashpoint demonstrated versatility throughout his career running and performing at the top level from six to eleven furlongs on the dirt. He won such races as the NORFOLK STAKES, SILVER STRIDES STAKES as a juvenile, the HOLY BULL STAKES at three, and the PRESIDENT CUP, PENN NATIONAL DERBY, THE NATURAL MEMORIAL STAKES and the GOLD COAST STAKES at four.
The handsome bay horse only performed better the older he aged and proved time and again why he is the type of horse Witch Creek loves. He was at times brilliant and at other times full of heart and courage. He really came to hand at the age of four and will be competing in the Breeders' Cup Classic.

The handsome bum holds the key to a female family that is only going to get rarer as time passes on. Optimus Unstoppable is one of only three foals out of Dubai Filly Cup and Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile winner Train Wreck. His half-sister Nocturnal Runaway was a top performer in the Turf Triple Tiara in Year Fifteen and his half-brother Tiger Heart has won seven races as a juvenile in a very tough dirt distance division. Through his dam, Optimus is related to none other than Turf Triple Crown winner and Hall Of Fame mare Bella Luna.
Optimus Unstoppable's male line is unbelievably solid with most of Shiver Me Timber's sons retiring to studs in the past couple years. Shiver Me Timbers first son at stud, Buccaneer, has gotten off to a great start with Doubloon Moon, grade three winner of the Unicorn Horn Juvenile Dirt Sprint and E.L. Gaylord Memorial Stakes.
Optimus is also a half-brother to grade one winner Prideful Limits, arch-nemesis Aquatic Addiction, the grade one filly Siren Call and the late blooming Palisades Pirate and Luminous Wave.
As a racehorse, Optimus Unstoppable was brilliant. He was campaigned as a juvenile by Akita Rose Stables and turned over to Witch Creek as a three year old. It took a while to get his fierce speed under control, but once WCS managed it the horse became a powerhouse with a versatile running style. He won the BOYS PARTY and TICK TOCK SPRINT, a leg of the Dirt Sprinter Crown. At four, Optimus became even more impressive winning the SUMMER CUP GRADE TWO DIRT SPRINT, the SEASPRAY CUP GRADE TWO SPRINT, the LA CONEJA STAKES and RAVEN RUN STAKES.
Optimus Unstoppable is exactly the kind of horse one needs to breed to if they want to break into the world of sprinting.
