Welcome, everyone, to the Year Seventeen January Sale! We have a large catalog this year, including the Oceanic View dispersal. It can be found here. Please remember that all sales are final and that contracts must be acknowledged by buyers. The structure will be as follows:
This first section of the auction will take into account the interest shown in the pre-sale thread here. Those horses that have had interest shown by more than one person will get at least 15 hours in the ring. Those that have had one or less show interest will get at least 10 hours in the ring. Anyone can bid on any horse, not just those that showed interest. If the time passes and there is no interest, the horses will go to an Post Auction Sale, where those that showed interest will get first dibs. For now, all you need to do is bid on the horses you're interested in!
+ Top bids cannot exceed $3,000,000
+ Starting bids will be $100,000
+ Bids can go up in any increment under $1,000,000
+ Admins have the right to refuse a top bidder if issues arise
So without further ado, let's get on to our first horse! Hip One is the Mr. Light mare Carabella, out of Midsummer Night. Carabella is the dam of one Year Sixteen foal by Out of the Darkness. The mare is half-sister to grade one winner Blanchette, who is the dam of such horses as grade one winners Princetta and Lost in Memories and grade three Crooked Intentions. Carabella is also half to grade three HOTY* winner Indian Night.
Carabella's sire, Mr. Light, also produced grade two winner Thunderstrike and currently racing Mr. Wild.
So? do we have a bid for this half sister to a good producer?
