When do we start the game again?

Game time i mean. Do we start where we left off in Y9, or skip to Y10?

Start where we left off in Y9.. and finish in december.
If we start off here, that means we can finish off all the races we didn't get done and get a good finish to the season. We don't have to run all the races - anything that doesn't get the entries required can just be cancelled.

Skip to Y10 Start Y10 July 1st.
Skipping to Y10 would mean that horses would not get a finish to the season. races like the Breeder's Cup be missed. (look here at what we would miss). it would make it difficult to pick HOTY. unfair even, because not everyone would have had a chance to do anything yet.

We could run everything real quick without a worry about workouts, and hopefully start Y10 about halfway through July. The only real issue with that is that we probably don't have the entries right now, which means two or three horse fields where nobody loses..

We could start wwaaayy down the track, like 5 or 10 years.
We could start over completely - new people, stables, new horses..

<sub>I say run the Breeder's Cup fast and start Y10 on July 1st like we are supposed to. A lot of our horses did get to run a decent amount before we shut down, we were halfway through after all.

I want to get started on a new season. It's easier to roleplay. We can say there was a disaster on the GHF track and they had to repair it and got it fixed just on time for the Breeder's Cup. Then we can retrain our horses on a fresh new and improved GHF.</sub>

I was just going through my horses, and I realized that a lot of them hardly raced for some reason through year nine ( probably because of that calendar system). A lot of my top horses only ran about four times, and for Onya and Ario this is their last season. However, I do see the need to start over at a new place and a new time so we get more of our members back. Maybe we should run all of the big races, the ones with an asterisk, and the Breeders Cup and then go on to year ten? This way, we get all the remaining big races in.

Ario's first year at stud is coming up....I just got really excited!

I really think we should just run the remaining races really quickly. Otherwise, alot of horses aren't even going to break maidens, or make it to grade four. and we need more horses in every grade! We could do this and still start Y10 in early July. And HOTY needs to be done too! We can do that when y10 starts though.

I also decided that when new members join, to get them to fill out a form deciding their stable name and stuff and give them a 'starter pack' of horses. That way I can make sure all the races are being filled with at least eight horses. the starter pack would come with two 2yos, two 3yos, two 4yos and two broodmares. They would have mixed distance and surface prefs, according to what fields are low on entries.

Well, if it's quick, I don't see why not.

The starter pack could come from the Economy Horses. If there are any horses members would like to donate to the starter pack they can do that too. This would be a good way to get members horses. I like it

Do we have any rules on creating yet? As in, is there a limit?

Definitely

I'm actually thinking of scrapping created lines, and making a load of foundation horses and use them for breeding horses for auction and sales and starter packs.

Hmmm. I think people should be allowed the option when they first join to have two created horses.
