Following the recent second place finish of her beloved horse Flashy Wings to Sunset Crusade, reporters are wondering if Henna Turath, esteemed jockey of Stride Of Perfection Stables, has lost her mind. The young woman was last seen storming off of the track with tears streaming down her face. It's been only two days since then, and the SOPS crew are unwilling to discuss the mental state of Henna.
One could argue that this mental breakdown, if that is what it is, was not long in coming. After coming second in the Kentucky Derby, there was little doubt about Henna's drive to defeat the Star Thoroughbreds colt. There have been noticeable decreases in facial expression during workouts, according to track spies, on the face of Henna. One spy declared that Henna looked like she was ready to kill something last time she rode Flashy Wings in their last prep for the El Sol Del Mar Memorial Stakes.
Henna is also the rider of champion sprinter Pegasus Wings and star two year old filly Sugar Jayde. Her credentials are amazing and any stable would have been willing to pay big for her to come ride for them. After this, who knows what stable will hire her? She may have no choice but to remain at SOPS.
Oh, breaking news! A reporter has just sighted Henna at the track! She appears to be riding Flashy Wings, alone. It's the dead of night, what could she possibly be doing out so late? I guess we'll have to see!
