Tears of an Angel was a late scratch from the Breeders' Cup yesterday after the filly had some heat in her left fore leg on inspection pre-workout. When trotted up it was found that the filly was in fact lame. Further investigation into the fillies lameness determined that she suffered a chip to the bone, after she was kicked by one of the yearlings whilst in the paddock. She is recovering well and she is sound again, but not being entered due to safety precautions. She will soon be back in action. It has been finalised that her next start will be in January Week 2 in the Jump Start Sprint, then be sent to the Unicorn Horn Series. The race is yet undecided.
