Moondance for Hall of Fame?

I feel like I'm raining on another parade in voting no for Moondance, but allow me to explain myself first xD

I love Moondance to pieces. Heck, I bred her and raced her during her two and three year old seasons. And while she improved a ton when I sold her on to Alexia and even took the Breeders Cup Classic...she does not strike me as HoF caliber. She was a great racehorse, but she wasn't a legend. I admire her a lot, but she's just not for the HoF in my eyes. And trust me, boy do I love her and admire her accomplishments. But she's just not for the HoF for me.

On this particular horse, I do agree with Frosty. She really seemed to shine in her last year of racing, but it seems that her overall record is not that impressive. I really like to see multiple years of top racing from a horse, unless they were truly superior like Alluring Assault was in Y12 (inducted at TW). Particularly, since I wasn't around when she was running, I have to say that I had to do more looking around with other HOFers to see how she compared. And since I am not aware of who she competed against when racing, I could not give you a "competitors" pass like several horses did that have been inducted previously into the Hall of Fame.

I also had to vote no on this one for the same reasons as have already been listed. Her last season of racing was great, but it wasn't until recently that I even knew who she was and that was because Sammy had bred a full-sibling to her...or something like that. To me she just doesn't have that "it" factor. Sorry Megs. :/
