Hello all. After much thought, I've decided that I will not be able to campaign Sweet Inferno through her five year old season. I love this mare dearly and would love to get her through an additional season, out from under her stablemates' hooves...but it's just not going to happen. Sweetie would have to contend with Battle Wings next season, and even though Italian Ice is getting a very limited schedule, Sweetie will still conflict with her, even with a similar limited schedule.
Thus...Sweet Inferno is up for lease. This lease will last for the entirety of the Year Fifteen season.
Why should you be interested? When it comes to marathons, few can top Sweet Inferno. She is well known for her ability to surprise at this distance. As a three year old, she beat the cream of the crop to win the Belmont Stakes and the Climax Cup. That was only last season. While this season has been relatively quiet, imagine what could happen when you train this mare up and give her a real chance to shine. She is already a proven grade one stakes winner to boot. Adding her to her ranks will give you the chance to work with a high quality horse and contend in big-name Horse of the Year races.
What will you get out of it? Aside from the opportunity to train such a talented horse, you will also receive a breeding reserve. This is a big deal. Not only is Sweetie a great horse, but she has a pedigree of gold as well. Crooked Fire is the sire of Ashes To Ashes as well as streaking juvenile Call Me Crooked. Sweet Stalker is a Hall of Fame inductee and lines back to Breeding Hall of Fame inductee Night Stalker. And Sweetie is perhaps the most successful daughter of both of her parents.
