New Member Step-By-Step Guide

As we understand that being a new member can be quite confusing, we have come up with a step by step guide to help you get started.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN PLAYING THE GAME, ENSURE YOU HAVE READ THE RULES.

STEP ONE: Introduce yourself
This is a social game, we like to get to know each other and the best way to start is to introduce yourself! You can also do this in the cbox if there are other members online

STEP TWO: Create a stable.
You need to create your own stable on a separate Proboards site (or another site, but it needs to be reliable). Your stable site is necessary for keeping your horses, records etc. Go here to create your stable, and here to post the link to your stable once finished. (Posting the link to your stable is mandatory.) I have a selection of ready made proboards skins if you don't want to make your own available for use here.

Alternatively, if you don't want to make your own stable site, Some members will take boarders, and GHF Racecourse has the capacity to take on a number of long term boarders. Apply here

STEP THREE: Get yourself some horses.
You should start out with about two, maybe three horses. Check the buy and sell board, or create your own.

STEP FOUR: Start Racing!
This is where it gets really fun! We run on a week by week racing calendar. To enter your horses in races, visit the GHF Racecourse board. To view results, visit the race results board. GHF is highly competitive, so it is recommended you do workouts with your horses in the morning workouts board before you race them.

Now, you don't have to do this.. but if you want to have jockey silks, you can make them using this generator here! All you have to do is pick the colours and patterns, then screen shot it, and use a program like gimp to make the background transparent.
