Lady In Red
Kate's smile could've been seen a mile away as it searched from ear to ear on her face. She was so happy. So very happy. She had won her first race on the filly she had been with her whole life. Well, she had been with the Red for Red's life. She patted the dappled filly on her neck softly and got a nicker. Kate was mounted upon the warm filly and waiting for the other three that would be working with them this morning. Three! Three horses have been brought to the farm almost night it seemed. Now, she was riding them all in races. Of course, her mother had no idea. But her mother didn't need to know this. It was a secret between her brother and father. If no one told, she could ride. The moment one of them said something, she was off all the horses. That would make Kate heartbroken. Literally. Kate could feel the depression and she was upon the filly as it was. She breathed out and then heard the others coming. Red's ears flickered and then she was given a soft nudge to the side." Come on baby. My Grade Five baby." She chuckled at that as Red began to trot onto the track, the others following closely behind.

The red chestnut's bouncy trot could be seen from a mile away. His strides were long and his short mane bounced with his trot. A reddish tail streamed behind him about a foot and a half. Its silky strands blew back in the wind and mingled with each other. A beautiful colt with a personality for the books. He looked like a young kid with a serious hard face. As his hoof touched the track, his trot seemed to become almost graceful. The jockey, Danny, was smiling at Kate." Its got it going for himself this morning. Hopefully he'll do good in this up coming race." Danny smiled before urging him behind Red. Of course, Red did her best to get him to play but he refused. Each nip was met with ignorance and a side step further away from her. He snorted in the morning air before picking up the pace a bit. Danny allowed him to do this. However, Char seemed to want Red to go first and she gladly did. However, she was only about a neck in front of him as they began a soft canter around the inner rail. The colt's white workout bridle stuck out again the red colt and it made him seen all the way from the other end of the track. Danny smiled to Kate and then looked behind him to see the two three years coming behind him.
Flashabelle & Santana's Moment
The slender coal black mare strode forward with an effortless grace. She seemed to dance her way out on the track and she looked beautiful doing it. She threw her head up in a protect of the reins behind tightened. Belle seem to have a smirk on her face as she paced next to the other three year old mare, Santana's Moment. She left her alone seeing as her mind was now on racing. She loved morning workouts. No gates, no crowds. Just her and the track with her running mates. She loved her running mates and picking on the only male that ran with them seemed to be her daily thing. She did it almost every time she was on the track. Belle soon slid from a trot to a canter and caught up with Char and Red. She stayed behind them as her jockey commanded. Her ears twitched as she heard her jockey's voice." Her muscles working today." Rachel worked for Kate's father as an exercise rider, but she had taken a love for Belle. Belle was just a ball of fire, you never knew what you were gonna get from her. Of course, Rachel almost always got the unpredicted, but she had learned to hold on tight because anything could happen when Belle was barreling down the track. Rachel loved how the horse could run at almost any distance and be perfectly good at it. It was a great feeling to know that the mare could take on almost everything. Rachel's attention snapped back as she heard Belle's whinny ring out.
The dark bay mare was trying desperately to get her head as she cantered behind the two younger horses and next to her stable mate. Tana hated this. She hated waiting for the race to begin and having to wait. It was so...time wasting. She shook her head from side to side, but no mane danced. It was nearly braided in a corn row down her muscled neck. She didn't mind this at all. She could feel the wind better as it slid down her body. Her body was like a wind breaker as she pushed through. Her jockey today was Jason, another worker for Kate's father. He loved the filly like he loved every animal, but no true connection was really felt. He wanted to be more of a trainer anyway. Kate was the real jockey. The one that could make almost every horse ride like the wind, like it was their last race. It always amused him when he watched her upon any horse. Jason patted the mares neck and smiled." Come on now, its time to workout." With that, everyone began talking about starting up and how far they would workout today. What was a good distance for every horses needs to be met. They decided and then..it began.
The workout
Red was in the front of the 'pack' as she began galloping forward. Her muscles began rippling underneath that grey pelt and she was hurtling forward. However, she was not as quick as a front leader might be, seeing she wasn't one. Behind her was Char as he normally stayed in the middle of the pack. He was keeping up, but staying in the middle. He didn't want to be too far back either as he didn't want to be behind the others. Just behind him was Belle. She was making this all look rather effortless to those looking at her, but inside her body was working hard and she loved that feeling. She pushed onward, but stayed behind Char. Following her was Tana. She wasn't struggling at all. She liked this pace they were keeping and it made her job easy of trailing the pack. Her focus was all on the track and the commands of her jockey was who sitting motionless on her back, waiting for the right moment to unleash his horse. They all were waiting for that moment. Lady In Red was the first to claim the front as she gave way and started speeding up. Kate allowed this as the others followed behind. Looking behind her, Kate gave a thumbs up and suddenly a surge of speed came powering over them. Char came up on Lady's left while Belle was on her right. Just next to Char was Tana and all the horses were giving their everything. The jockeys were all pushing the horses as well as winning this might be nothing to someone else, but bragging rights to them. It was amazing. The pounding hooves on the ground, a thundering sound. Char took the early lead down home with Belle right behind. Lady was waiting for the right second before shoving herself in front, but no one had expected the moment from Tana and she over took all of them just before they crossed the finish line.
