Tatiana led the two grey fillies across the stable row to the track, while Paul let the bay stallion behind them. All of the horses were getting run before their races in a couple of weeks, so they had to be in great condition. All of them had their tack on, and they were just waiting on the riders. As soon as the riders came into view, the horses started prancing in place and Tatiana had a hard time controlling the fillies. She smiled at Paul, patting the girls on their shiny, grey necks. Meanwhile, Turro, the stud, snorted loudly and pinned his ears back. The riders quickly mounted, and they stood there calming their mounts before listening to their instructions. Turbo Charge (Turro) was to breeze 5 furlongs, Terror Smile (Star) was to gallop 7.5 furlongs and She's de Grey (Grey) was to breeze 6.5 furlongs. Each horse was galloping a different amount, so they would go out and warm up together, and run separate. All three horses walked onto the track together, strides bouncy and silvery and black tails flowing behind them. The riders nodded to eachother and set off at a trot, Turro's short little legs moved back and forth faster than Star's or Grey's because of his height. They made their way around the outside of the track, occasionally cantering a couple of strides. The horses were working out together, the pounding of their hooves on the soft dirt. Easily working out, the riders went their separate ways, and they started their workouts.
//Terror Smile\\
Star's mane whipped against her rider's face, as she picked up speed, faster until she was at a flat gallop. Star's breathing was coming in even puffs, which was good, as they made their way around the track. The wind whipped against them both, and Star's stride wavered, and Lainey tapped her shoulder, sending her on. Star sent out a huge burst of speed, almost unseating her rider, as they passed the finish wire. She dared a peek over her shoulder, seeing Turro and Grey finishing their rounds.
**Turbo Charge**
Turro immediately got really fussy as Grey and Star left his side. He let out a huge squeal, but his rider Joe sent him on, not letting him get his way. Turro flattened his ears, but changed from canter to gallop. His thick black mane went flying backwards, as Turro went full speed. When Joe didn't pull him back, he thought he was done, but it was the complete opposite. Joe sent him on, pushing him to his max. The colt was galloping flat out, his little legs pounding on the dirt. His striding was totally different than any other Thoroughbred's that he had ridden. They saw Star in the distance, and Joe knew that their ride was almost over. "C'mon boy. Let's finish this off, dude." Turro flicked his short ears back, and added an extra burst of speed, kicking up dirt behind him. They passed the wire pole, and Turro instantly slowed down to a canter, wanting to catch up to Star.
||She's de Grey||
Grey knew what to do, even though she knew she didn't want to. Slowly, she picked up her pace, but it took her a while to get settled in. Her stride was choppy at first, but her rider pushed her, her stride just getting longer and eating up more ground. Hoping Grey would listen, Jeremy tapped her with the whip behind his leg, and Grey galloped on, as if a switch was turned on in her head. Jeremy crouched low to her neck, pumping her neck with his fists. They saw Turro and Star in the very distance, and Jeremy was guessing Grey did too, because she picked up her speed and she galloped on, and before they knew it, the wire pole was way past them and they were trotting beside their stablemates.
