Workout for
Maiden Turf Face Off

Our turf racers were next and it was our two greys. Angel the mare and Arthur the colt. Both horses which came second and third in the last race they ran, it was really close that day. Both of the horses love working together and like to beat each other friendly. Angel was more of a preceder and always like to be in the second or third position, while Arthur sticks to the middle of the pack and keep himself around fourth position. So these two are the love able maidens we have got.

Looking at the entries which were against us. Gate one was holding a new horse, a new stable which recently have come in. The horse is a black filly name Nochebuena, she have only race once and is also a mid packer like Arthur. The filly didn't seem to be experience enough as Angel and Arthur, so we weren't really concern about the filly at the moment. Gate Four and Five were horses from Sliver Stride Prefection Stable. The horses entered were Wannado Voodoo and Desperate Appeal. Looking at they record Voodoo was another solid grey with not a good record, she was another horse that like to hold back in the mid pack. Appeal's record is around the same as Voodoos, and is a predecer like Angel. We have to keep an eye on the black filly as she could be a danger.

The plan was in the head now and we both knew what to do with our mounts. Leading them to the gates, they both went perfectly. They muscles were all warm up as gave them a warm exercise five minutes ago. Both of the horses went into the gates well and they waited patiently for them to be opened. As the gates sprung open, both of the horses broke cleanly and got into their position. Angel was in the lead of the workout as she likes settle there, keeping her in this position she left her stride smooth and not fast right away. Arthur was in the middle and on the outside right now as with two mid packs in the race, we didn't want him to get boxed in along the rail. Arthur was responding well to the knew strategy and wasn't fighting. Both of the horses were doing well and it was time to push the gear up a bit. Both of the horses respond like no no tomorrow and lengthen their strides some more

The workout was almost completed and the racers were getting into the proper positions to win. Angel was making the move upwards and using the shadowing tequince towards the other horse's withers. Flicking her ears back and then forth she was enjoying herself and checking what's behind her and listening the same time. Arthur was moving forward, but he was unable to catch Angel in the workouts he never have. He like to keep his entire strength and stamina on the race day himself. Finally the line was crossed by Angel and the workout was completed, both horses were in top form and both horses were ready for the race.
