Workout for Grade 3,2,1 Dirt (9ft)
[/color][/blockquote][/blockquote]Getting back on the track and it was the last race of the face off. The colt which was brought from Star Thoroughbreds wasn't doing pretty well for us, we put it down due to him have to get used to the jockey he have now. Four limbs were bandaged with white exercise bandage just keep his limbs safe just incase of accidents which can happen. The colt as lot of potential to go further and we are hopeful he would get there. The field was going to be tough one for him, since it mixture of grades 3, 2 and 1. This is why he was here on the track first before the other three horses, he was getting prepared more as the race was a challenge for him. The gates were getting prepared and the colt was being warmed up as the there were five runners all together in the race he was entered in so we were taking a look of the competition now.
Gate two held a bay mare named Moondance for Silver Stride Stables. Moondance was currently a grade two and she is a preceder, the mare have a good record on the track and was creatinly the one to keep an eye on, as she have been known to finished last in her races, so there was still hope for our stud. Gate three and four held horses from Silver Perfection Stables. Gate three held a grey stallion named TDI Live This Lie he is currently a grade three as well and is a front runner. His record is mostly second and thirds, so it have showed that this horse can lose his stamina at the end of the race. Gate four held a bay mare named Dark Sunrise she is currently grade two and is a closer like Kiskue. Looking at her four year old season she have had one won and two fourths, so she could be a danger once she gets to her breaking spot. Lastly Gate five held a bay mare named Xalbadora from Close Racing Stable, she was is a grade three and a closer as well. Her record is pretty ok but at most of her races she is last, so she isn't really a threat.
Looking over the competition it was mostly the two grade twos which could be a potential problem, so we were going to focus on them. The colt was in the gate and when the gates sprung open, he broke clean and immediately started to hold back and kept himself comfortable in the middle of the line now. His stride was smoothly and he was trained well by his last home. I encouraged him to make a move and he responded straight away and began to creep up a little but keeping his stride smooth and steady. The final turning was coming and the colt was moving some more as he was making his move along the toss and turns. Kiskue was enjoying his workout and he wanted the race now, allowing his head to be free now and finally the colt responded and spread his limbs some more and increasing speed it was like a dream come true and he cross the line like no care in the world and he tossed his dial some more and whinnied as he wanted some more. Patting his neck friend I lead him back to the yard and placed him back in his stall, as I untacked him.
