Workout for Grade Four Turf - 9F
[/color][/blockquote][/blockquote]The mare was going to be retired next year and this season was getting on well with the older mare. She was coming back to full fitness now, from the fact she was neglected. It was shame as she had potential to be lot more than what she was right now. The bay mare was taught to hang back a little to third postiton now and this was really helping her with placings now in the races. The turf was tested and boots were placed on her legs to protect her limbs as the turf was a little hard this morning. The gates were begin tested and the beauitful mare was running warming up her amazing muscles, now.
We now checking the competition now and there were five other horses in the field, so it was a small field with some good horses. Gate two and three were horses from Silver Stride Stables. Gate two held a bay mare named Flawed Princess, she was a preceder as well and her record was good. She could be a threat and maybe the one which could give Pea a run for her money basically. Gate three held a palominio mare named One With Gold, she was a closer. This mare have been neglected from the track lately and her season wasn't good, coming dead last in two of her races from coming back, it was shame as looking at her record she looked like a good horse, grade one potential really. Gate four and five held horses from Silver Perfection Stables. Gate four held a bay filly named Wild Kiss, she is another closer. Her record for a three year old wasn't bad, but she may struggle as she was young and the field was currently with older horses. Gate five held a bay stallion named The Innocent Skier, he like being in the back of the pack and then make a sneaky attack on the race. So far he have many of seconds and a third, so circling his name as he could be the potential threat at the moment. The last gate held a dark bay colt named Silent Fury from Star Thoroughbred Farms. He was a front runner and with this season of him being second and thirds, he was type of horse that was capable of holding his lead.
With the competition looked at an evaluated I got Pea into the gate and ready for the workout, before the race start that morning. She went into the gate without a fuss and snorted a little as she was a little exticted the same time now. The gates broke now and she left the gate without any problems. Immediately she was holding the third position. Her limbs were cantering along the track, kicking the hard grass behind her. She didn't make any moves until around the final turn, and her limbs went faster and extended some more. Limbs were working hard as she creeped some more and like she was taking the lead from the other horse, and winning the race. As her limbs crossed the finishing line she started to slow down and began to trot again, as we both headed back to the yard. Race day was close and the mare can feel and smell victory right away.
