Greetings Green Horse Fields community! I'm a reporter here to talk about the modern horses of today which remind us of certain Hall Of Fame horses of the past. I'll even go into details! Hopefully you will all have fun making the same comparisons that I am.
Bank On Silver, Merry Bay King and True Enough...
are Paradise Island, Instant Success and Eternal Phantom. Seriously! We have two females and one male in the modern care but I still think that it fits. These three two year olds have been facing each other near constantly in the races and have been attracting separate fan bases of their own. It kind of reminds me of this old rivalry...except we haven't gotten quite to the heights of that one yet. Just stay tuned!
Flying Colours, Speed Demon and Dash Of Sugar...
are Pegasus Wings, Here's The King and Beltane! All of them are sprinters, with Asus and King having the main rivalry and Beltane just getting into the scene at a couple years younger than them. I believe that these three sprinters mirror this rivalry in a very interesting way and are the closest legacy that we have right now to these three Hall Of Fame sprinters. An interesting thought right?
Just a note, the ones after this point are almost entirely random xD
Simply A Flyer....
is Wildly Natural. Seriously. Tura is essentially eclipsing the accomplishments of the King Hall of Famer foal in a big way and I believe that they share similar personality traits, as well as of course the race distances that they run and everything. They're similar!
Rising Fury...
is Born To Soar. Surprised I didn't day Vindictive Fury? Here's why. Born To Soar has been a sensation for the duration of her career. Vinny only got up to the level Soar has been at this year, in my opinion. Born To Soar is showing to be a consistent star just as Fury was, even if she's not quite as violent as the Hall Of Fame mare.
Dare To Dream....
is Vindictive Fury. Why? It's simple, really. Dare To Dream was almost overlooked, in my opinion, compared to other Hall Of Famers throughout her career. Nevertheless, as a relic from the old days and with an awesome race record to boot, she made Hall of Fame easily. This is like Vinny. Vinny has been overlooked by the world until her sensational and nearly perfect season this year. She's looking great and was the star nobody saw coming.
Sweet Stalker and El Sol Del Mar...
are Moondance and Dashing In The Firelight. Though Sweetie and Sunny were not related, they had a fierce rivalry. Mona and Fire have this rivalry, coupled with the fact that they are siblings. These horses both competed on the dirt with amazing accomplishments. Both have been stars and their rivalry continues to guide them. These sisters really do remind me of Sweetie and Sunny just because of the fierceness of their rivalry.
True Enough...
by himself, is Limitless Time. Overlooked occasionally in favor of a rival, with a similar racing style to True Enough to boot. There is some true talent in these two horses, but it takes a while for the world to realize and acknowledge it.
The Natural...
is Executioner's Apprentice. With similar accomplishments on the turf, in terms of age at that year, I believe that App has the capability to follow in the hoofsteps of Nate both as a racehorse and a sire.
Little Miss Innocent...
is White Chocolate. I don't know why, but when I look at the turf mares in the Hall Of Fame Missy reminds me the most of White Chocolate. White Chocolate has come into her own this year as a fierce turf mare. Perhaps I see some of Missy's talent in her, even if they don't share many other characteristics.
Stay tuned for more random comparisons! Please share your thoughts on the article with some replies. A healthy discussion could be fun xD
