Comeback Season!
Oak Hill Farm have recently announced that two of their fine young fillies are ready to hit the track again! After a terrible crash in the horse wagon on the way to one of their races as a loose horse ran infront of the wagon, causing it to come to a harsh and sudden halt. Both three year old fillies in the wagon were unfortunately injured and their racing careers had to be put on hold. Smarty's Dream, sired by grade one Smarty Jones and out of grade one Livin' The Dream became severly lame on her hind right leg after the accident leaving her incapable to race for some time. Carabella, full sister to grade one Blanchette, suffered a deep gash to the front right leg. And further complications arose as the wound became infected and Cara struggled to walk on the leg.
Now both horses are fully recovered from their injuries and spookiness they are in full training again and should hopefully be hitting the tracks soon!
This is very exciting news for Oak Hill Farm as both horses showed amazing promise as youngsters. Smarty's Dream had achieved five wins and reached grade four by the end of her two year old season, placing two years consecutively in the famous Seaspray Cup! Carabella also made an equally impressive start to her racing career with a lovely record of 7:2:2:0, including a show in the competetive Breeder's Cup Juvenille Fillies Turf. Both horses should be making their comebacks very soon, so keep your eyes peeled for them on the track!
