Pregnancy Confirmed!!
Today an ultrasound was carried out on the 9 month pregnant Little Miss Innocent from Stride of Perfection Stables. The foal was confirmed to be a filly and will make it's appearance January GHF Y12.
So what does this have to do Intrepid Racing? Well, it is now being officially announced that the foal will in fact belong to Intrepid Racing.
The filly is sired by none other the Little Miss Innocent's arch rival and competitor, G1 racer, Comeuppance.
This competitive breeding has been in the works for years and will finally be realized January Y12!
There was no fiercer competition on the turf tracks of MHS, The Wire, and GHF than that between Comeuppance and Little Miss Innocent. Both horses are superb in their own rights and we couldn't be more eager to see how this filly turns out. This will be Comeuppance's first foal and will be hopefully a success to this stallion in the breeding shed.
Intrepid Racing's, Nick Landing says this: "We couldn't be more pleased to have this foal come reside at Intrepid Racing and eagerly look forward to Missy's birth. We know that bloodlines are important and this little filly will have them in spades, but we also know that it takes work. IR is more than ready and equipped to train and work this little gal to achieve her best and we couldn't be more excited."
When asked about the potential name for the foal, Nick smiled and said yes, a name had been decided upon, Lissome. The name he explained meant "lithe" and also began with an "L" in honor of her dam, HOF Little Miss Innocent. Come Y13, be on the lookout for this little gal on the prospect tracks, she is sure to not disappoint.
