News just in that Akita Rose Stables has acquired some new horses due to two stables closing their doors due to bankruptcy: Riverwood Acres and Darkest Dreams Stables. Kirsten Jade announced this afternoon that they were only going to keep one horse: Jazzaway. The rest would all be put up for a private sale. She also announced to us that Akita Rose Stables has also purchased Grade Two mare, Mystical Melody from Stride of Perfection Stables. This is a big break for Akita Rose Stables to start making their comeback into the racing world. This will also bring in some good income from the sales.
While asking Kirsten how she felt about the rumors of her jockeying downfall from last week's article "Owner of ARS Loses control" by Jill Jennings the ARS owner shrugged and responded "You know, I have been doing too much around the farm and maybe it is time I slowed down a little bit." Kirsten also announced that because of that she has hired a new jockey to join their team. Chantal LeBlanc, one of the top jockeys in France will soon be seen on the GHF track under ARS' racing silks.
This means there are now three new arrivals to look out for under Akita Rose Stables. Glad to see that this stable is not to be counted out just yet.
