Tidal Wave
it was a new season, everything was getting exticting now. The last season went well and our youngstock were beginning their Prospect and Maiden season, which was always exticting! Today though we were going through a full stock workout and the first one on the track was our new stallion, Tidal Wave. The chestnut stallion was just two years old and we bought him last year which was always exticting. The colt was fiesty already as he was eager to work, patting his neck easy now boy, wait for your rider and we get on the track. Just then Derek his jockey came and saw the new horse is he my new ride?, Leo smiled and nodded yeap he is. This is Tidal Wave. Impressive isn't he? Derek went towards the young colt and stroked his neck he as good conformation, muscles and long legs he looked at him as Leo helped him up on the colt's back I don't know much about the colt, expect he is fast and loves running. So you have to choose what is best, when he is out of the gates, he'll tell you what position he like he said to him and led them to the track and allow them to get to work.[/blockquote]
Cantering the colt towards the gate and Jack was happy to load in them. Stroking his neck, Derek kept the chestnut colt calm. Jack snorted softly and waited for the gates to open. Like magic the gates sprung open and Jack broke cleanly and had no trouble. Pretty soon he settled in the front of the pack, holding onto third position, Derek felt him feeling he liked being a preceder. Keep the chestnut colt combable, Derek settled him more.
The final turn began to come around the corner and Derek allowed the colt to have his head, and without a hesitation Jack broke more, stretching his limbs out and weaving along the outside to over take the leaders, and happily taking the lead without a fuss. Derek patted his neck and pulled him up, Leo went to him and smiled he was a little green, but we enter him this week and see how he goes. Maybe some experience on the track would help us out here he smiled and Derek dismounted and walked the colt back to the yard, hoping race day would be better than the workout.
