That's right folks, it already started! The GHF's next top racehorse competition is under way and you will not be disappointed with the quality of the horses this year. As usual, the field for the first show was small, consisting of only four horses.
The winner of the show today was Mighty News. This colt comes from the merging two successful bloodstock. He is out of Sophie Might, making him half to the second placed filly from last year, Sophie's Voice who placed second in her deut this week, and also to the three year old Lynara's Kingdom and by the impressive News Flash, making him half to grade one flashy wings. This colt has the potential to be a real force on the show track this year.
In second we had Demonic Desires. This colt has a hugely impressive pedigree and is guaranteed to be a strong sprinter next year. He is out of the Hall Of Fame inductee Deadly Desires who finished her season with a total of over thirty wins and by the well known Hall Of Fame Inductee Speed Demon. All in all, this colt is hugely powerful.
In third, Wishing For A Heroine. This filly is out of the Grade One Mare Warm Wishes and sired by the Hall Of Fame Inductee Everyday Hero. She is the full sibling of one of this year's two year olds Wish Upon A Star but seems to have very different preferences. Among her half siblings, you will find the mare Vindictive Fury who retired at the end of last year.
Finally, in fourth place, we have the colt Thunderball. Thunderball is a blue roan colt owned by Dream Valley Stables from unknown lines.
The places have been set. The current standings are below.
