Akita Rose Stables has moved! That's right, the owner Kirsten Jade Desorcy coming to us with a live press release to announce why they have been so secretive the past nine months. We come to you live with the Press Release:
"As you all know Akita Rose Stables had a small fire in our racing barn about 9 months ago. This was due to bad wiring. In result two of our horses had gotten burned. Heartless Revenge suffered a miner burn to his leg and smoke inhalation in the lungs, because of this we had to retire him for his own health. You will be seeing him in the breeding shed come the New Year. Snow Storm, my daughter's horse, also suffered many severe burns, including one to his genital area. He was gelded and put out to pasture." Kirsten pauses to clear her throat. "This being said we decided to move for the first time since we left Sunshine Paradise Farm. We built a state of the art thoroughbred racing facility that is secure and safe. It is situated directly between the GHF track and TW track for easy access to both racing circuits. I have also rebuilt my unique sand track so that I may once again hold the Dubai World Cup - now renamed the Dubai World Championship. Are there any questions?"
She smiled into the cameras and took a sip from her water bottle.
Reporter One: "We have come upon the information that some new horses are now racing under your colors, including Dreamvalley's White Chocolate. Can you elaborate on this?"
Kirsten nodded. "Of course. Dreamvalley Stables is undergoing a bit of a hiatus right now so I offered to purchase her grade two mare, White Chocolate. She is fitting in quite nicely at our new stable site and has recently won a race on The Wire, which brought her up to Grade One status. We are very excited. We also got a generous gift from Intrepid Racing Inc as an early Christmas present in the form of the gorgeous grade five three year old colt, Amarillo Sky. He too already starting racing for us and just brought us a victory over at The Wire. He is now at a grade four racing status." She coughed in her fist and then continued. "Also, we have been doing some research into the horses that we have bred or sold to some stables and never heard anything again and managed to reclaim some new babies according to my sales contract. These include: Midnight Dreamer - a fiery four year old stallion that races solely on the turf track at a grade four level, Stalking the Stars - a three year old filly by Night Stalker that also races over the turf, Silver Song - a four year old mare that is half sister to Silver Secret through her sire and half sister to Frozen Motion through her dam, GM Halloweentown - a young and talented juvenile by Night Stalker who started racing already and has already broken his maiden and has yet to place out of the top three, The Unicorn - a three year old grade four turfer that is up for sale, and finally Gold Digger and her foal Diggam - one of our old broodmares that was the first three year old to ever race under our colors, she reached her grade one potential and now came back home - bringing a young colt with her." She caught her breath and smiled at the young reporter. "Anyone else have a question for me?"
- now is the time to ask... -
