INSTANT SUCCESS TAKES THE MARATHON
In Stride Racing had a shock victory over Fire Dancer and FS Mockingbird on Sunday, when Instant Success took the win in the Breeders' Cup Marathon over twelve furlongs on the dirt. The four-year-old colt came out of the race with loads of energy left but he is being rested until the Unicorn Horn. It is still uncertain what race he will be going to but it looks likely that he will go to the Classic. Jacey Leigh Lanning who rode the colt to victory spoke to us today.
"I am very pleased with Isa's performance. I didn't think we'd have enough closing kick but we managed to close within the final furlong and wear down on Fire Dancer to beat her by a nose on the wire. I didn't think the colt would run as well as he did after such a long lay off. I'm looking towards the Breeders' Cup Classic for him next year."
