WHITE ROSE & Aaron Smith
WORKOUT FOR MAY TURF MAIDEN
It have been alomst year since our stable have been on the tracks of GHS. Our prize and wonderful stock have been sold to active stables and have been doing well. It was time for fresh stock now and our current purchase on the horses aviabale was great and we hoped for some good races and turn outs from them. One of the horses which was going to exercise today is the yearling filly which was bought from Ireland yearling sales. Her stamina is amazing and lineage was lost but there were words that she is related to the amazing runner Red Rum. That doesn't matter now, as it was important to assign the jockeys to their horses. The stable had three jockeys which were kept from the past stable, these were Aaron Smith, Baylee Shepherd and Sam Morgan. Aaron Smith you are ride White Rose in the maiden turf race this week.
Aaron was very experienced jockey and even had his far share of falling off the horse though. He was handsome guy, who was in his early thirties now and have been riding for the stable since he was seventeen. Aaron went towards the mare which was the bay one with a white bridle, as she was already tacked up. For prevention of tendon injuries while working out in the morning before the race and even in training session, the mare was cantering calmly along the track getting used the turf here as it was different here than being at home. Aaron, relaxed his hands on the reins so Rose was tucking her head into her chest while she cantered. This was just a warm up, so all the muscles were loose and she was warm, this was best way to prevent any injuries.
After ten minutes were up Aaron pulled her a little bringing her to a walk, as she was led into the gates. Rose was calm and went into the gates without a hassle, and Aaron prepared for the gates to open. As the gates sprung open, and the mare broke cleanly like she always did when we trained her. She immediately reached the front position and hugged the rail. Her strides were smooth and she was calm throughout the run, little by little she would increased her speed, but waited for the go ahead from her jockey, until she had this command she wouldn't break.
Finally the quarter of mile was coming into sight and Aaron allowed the rein's slack and gave her head. That's it girl... NOW go, let's see what you have got girl! He yelled at her. Rose heard this command and like magic she transacted into her gallop faster faze. Her limbs extended full out, showing her power and courage, to win. She crossed the land in her best time in record for our stable. Aaron slowly pulled her up, bring the bay mare down to steady canter once again. She was ready for this race, and it would interested in how she come out at the end.
