An impressive victory by Silver Serendipity has meant she has broken into the grade four barrier - the filly beat out Star Thoroughbreds' two year old Crowned Queen to win the Grade Four Seaspray Cup Sprint. The filly is really beginning to up her game after a slow start but In Stride are becoming increasingly reknown for there sprinters.
In a recent interview, Jacey Leigh-Lanning commented on the fillies performance.
"Demi is beginning to pick up quite nicely now and she's beginning to clock up wins one by one. She has started twelve times now, winning four, placing in four and taking three thirds. Only in her second start did she fail to finish in the top three when she stumbled and lost her positioning coming into the home turn. She was pulled up but was uninjured. You know what they say, better to be safe than sorry. Since then she has improved drastically and her win in the Finish Cup has stamped her down for the Breeders Cup. I'm hoping she continues to do this well, and I am very impressed with the bond that Demi has now got with Evie."
Tears No More blew the crowd away with his excellent win in the Seaspray Cup Grade Four sprint, beating out heavy favourite three-year-old Attractive Flight. It was shocking to all and even the commentator annnouncing was astounded at how well the colt ran to take the victory over the older and more experienced contender.
Ivana Babicová commented on her colts win.
"I am so ecstatic and overwhelmed right now, I'm finding it incredibly hard to let the win sink in. This colt has just got better and better and I am so honoured to be riding him - with six wins, it is stamping him down as the heavy favourite for the Breeders Cup Juvenile Sprint... let us hope that if Trouble carries on the way he is going."
