GAMBLE ON PEACE Ridden by Chris Stevens
August Workouts
It had been a few long months since Gambler had a workout and Chris felt it was time for another one to boost his energy. Holding the reins tight, Chris aided Gambler down the first turn until the back stretch approached. He gained more speed and Gambler took off with passion in his heart. Gambler moved smoothly with no hesitation. He moved away from the rail and came to a full sprint before passing the last furlong pole. He gave it all he had before passing the wire.
"That's a good boy Gambler." He said praising his equine friend below him. It was time for Gambler to get into the big races or so mild ones. The stallion had the potential and would inspire the others before moving into the breeding program. It would be awhile before the stallion would retire. Chris walked Gamble on Peace with Nakita alongside to await a new race week to start. Gambler was an unpredictable animal and Chris never questioned that.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

Nature Blues had themselves a new rule coming abroad and the jockeys had to get their workouts for there horses done so they would be ready for their races. Turning over a new leaf may have been good and Chris had gotten along with Nakita Rose quite well. In fact, Nakita had joined Chris this morning into the stalls as she viewed the top graded horse racing right now, Gamble on Peace. She glanced over the chestnut and brushed the stallion's neck gently. "Such a beautiful stallion he is." She said her English still floozy with her own accent.
Chris then walked over to the chestnut and to Nakita with a smile. "He is indeed. He's one of our best sprinters and Samantha had such high hopes for him as we still do. He's coming in a bit rough nowadays but, Gambler likes a show." Chris said as he got onto the horse's back. Gambler had been well rested for two weeks. Chris assumed the stallion was growing tired but, he still had a lot of miles on him and still had lots to accomplish.
The chestnut stallion began to walk onto the dirt track and he bobbed his head up and down. Nakita Rose stood at the railings and watched the horse walk smoothly. "Well don't mind me Mr. Stevens please continue I hope you don't mind me watching of course."
