Everyday Smile Thrilling The Crowds
Some horses are just made for a career on the track. There is something about them which makes them stand out and the crowds love them for it. Spectators flood to the tracks to watch their favorite stars and it seems that one horse in particular is beginning to make her impression - Everyday Smile, who now runs under the Dark Justice Stables silks.
The filly was bred for the dirt classics, her parents both being Hall Of Fame inductees and with successful siblings such as Rising Fury and Euphoria's Warrior but this isn't what really makes her stand out. No, while her breeding may have initially drawn interest to her it is the filly's own performances which are bringing her to the spotlight now.
Since returning to the track with her new stable in August, this two year old has raced in three Horse of The Year races, winning two of those and taking second in the other. This, matched to her previous record, means that she has never placed outside of the top three in nine starts and is on the verge of breaking into Grade Three. But trainer Lillith has declared that they have not finished yet and this filly is now being aimed toward the Youth Challenge series which will be running at The Wire this year.
When asked if she was worried about the level of competition they would face in the three race series the trainer seemed confident. "Elle has proven herself time and time again, she deserves to be given the chance and everything which can be done to help her will be given." The filly is not the stable's only up and coming star, either. Despite only opening recently they have gathered quite the collection of horses and seem to be performing well on the track so far.
All I can say is that this is a horse, and a stable, to keep your eye on!
