Over two centuries ago, there was a quarrel among the gods; a disruption in the air. Loyal earth-bound equines took to war in the name of their makers. The fighting that followed lasted many sleepless days, and the earth grew stained by all the blood that was shed. They were just regular equines, but the gods wanted to tip the scales. Each deity wanted their own following to come out victorious. However, they couldn't decide on what would alter the mortal fates. What was powerful enough to do such things; to change one's own destiny? After seemingly endless debate, a conclusion was reached. What was the one thing that separated the mortals from the immortal? Powers. Abilities that no creature was naturally borne onto the earth with.
And so, the gods graced their followers with such powers. Abilities such as a healing touch, stealth, and even their own immortality. With these new-found powers, each side thirsted for the battlefield once more. A short battle occured before their gods called it quits. Grudges went home with both forces that day; leaving the other alliances responsible for keeping the peace. But the Drabs and Scallywags can only hold off the inevitable for so long.
