With the week coming to an end it meant that races where just around the corner, and it was about time for Matthew to work the horses that would be racing that week. And with this weeks participants being new to the stable, Matthew was a little weary when it came to racing them, for he hadn't been training either of these horses very long, and neither had their new jockeys. But hopefully with a little work, both horses would become racers that Matthew and their jockeys would be confident in running and in how they would run.
One of the two horses that Rivervalley had recently attained, was a grey, three year old filly by the name of Engraved in Blood. She had already broken her maiden before coming to the stable, and in one start too. But Enna also hadn't raced in a while, and Matthew wasn't sure when her past race or workout with her old stable was. So today would just be to get her re-introduced to the track and see what kind of racer that she was.---

Upon sending Enna out, Heidy was simply going to breeze her, and let the filly get used to being on the track and remember what it feels like to run. After all, neither Matthew or Heidy are sure when the last time she had raced was.
Enna glided down the turf track at a comfortable pace, and seemed confortable at this pace, and on the track. So Heidy sped up the pace just a little bit in order to see where the filly was comfortable, and what pace seemed to be pushing it, so that Heidy knew where the filly sat in respect to her stamina and how confortable she was on the track. Enna was happy to speed up and took to the new quicker pace well.
Once they had been running about 9 furlongs, Heidy began to slow Enna down as they filly's breathing started to become heavier from her running. Heidy was pleasantly surprised by how well Enna had done today, and she would be running for less time then that anyways, so she should be fine when the time came for her to race this week, even though most of the horses she would be racing will be slightly more experienced then she is. With more then only one start under their belts.
