Chris was happy to have Bowen Arrow back into the stables of Nature Blues. He had been doing so well with Kenren's stable he was a G3 stallion. The Dark Bay stallion was still as gentle as ever. He was not afraid to take chances especially in the Royal Red Richard Memorial Stakes coming up. Chris approached him with a smile and patted the stallion gently on the neck before hopping onto the back of the horse. The track would be on turf as Bow's specialty and the two were off in promise, trotting away to get Bow warmed up.
With him back into the stables it was a proud moment. The miler took off in a gallop away from the rails bobbing his head to get used to Chris being abroad his back once again. They would take it easy so Bowen could give it all he could in the race. The winds were picking up just a little so the dark stallion moved back close to the rails. "It's okay boy nice and easy just like that." Chris spoke pushing him then to a higher gallop so he would get used to the training once again.
Bowen was against Innocent Passion and Cross My Heart two very competitive horses, Chris would need Bowen Arrow awake and active to even match their speed. Bow usually headed out in the mid-pack after shooting off from the gate and remain their until the final end of the back stretch. Bowen always followed his jockey's cues for go and wouldn't let his stubborn ways or trust stray from Chris. Bowen was refreshed and while he was still a bit startled from the move to stable to stable he pushed through as always.
Passing along the final furlong pole, Chris loosened his grip on the stallion and pushed him faster to finish off as if their was a horse next to him. Bowen's strides grew farther apart and while he had the speed to do so stamina would be one of the challenges he would be facing and willing to encounter. He was ready for such a race and while he wasn't bothered by fillies or mares Tears of Blood would have his eyes today no matter what.
