REFLECTED IN WATER Jockeyed by Meredith Hently
It was time for a fresh workout outside the madness going around. Meredith Hently had ridden incredible horses now one of them being Reflected in Water. A bay filly who showed promise and compassion would now be working out with a young colt named Flashing the Declaration. Reflected in Water had just won the Dr Fager Red Mile on the wire and she was going to proceed within the red mile races until a better opportunity arose. Flashing the Declaration was on a slow start into the racing community and Lawrence Kaine would take him to victory.
Both horses were vast sprinters, Remi holding an extension allowed her expand out into the milers decree. Remi got her mean spirit from her mother and approached the black colt as if she was the master of this track. Remi was a good filly but she still had a little ways to go before she could meet the standards of her Grandsire. Flashing the Declaration was apart of Nature Blues first foal crop and needed a lot of work before he could go the big leagues like his warm up companion. Remi trotted out with a curve in her frame of movement, others called it showing off, Meredith simply called it her flirting move of distraction.
Flasher was a spunky colt who would learn eventually to listen and not make a fool of himself. Both horses grazed over the dirt surface into a gallop with Flasher immediately pulling himself into the lead as usual. Reflected in Water kept her movements relaxed and poised to wait for that one quick motion that had her break free of her position and shooting off into the front of the pack to take the win by chance. Flasher was fast but with Remi on his trail anything was possible.
Flashing the Declaration began to come to a slow along the turn where it was noticeable that Reflected in Water was now not giving in to the colt. She was madly insane to go full throttle in this practice. Both jockeys remained quiet glancing at the track ahead of them. The bay daughter to Radiance pushed her strides to match Flasher and when that marker hit Remi was off as if she had never raced before. Flasher pounded the ground with his massive weight he was on the knack of becoming a giant as he would grow.
Remi was just about ready for anything and she would now face an upperclass more than before. Flasher was still young and he was going to make an excellent member of the team.
