Personality: Vox is something of a menace. In fact, he's quite the menace. He's fidgety and loves to whine, gracing the barn with his high pitched keen whenever he feels it is getting too quiet. Nothing really scares him except for dogs - he doesn't like barking all that much. While he is not a fearful horse, he likes to pretend that he is, as he looks for any excuse to go for a good run. If he doesn't feel he is getting enough exercise, he will exercise himself by tearing around the pasture. For a thoroughbred, he's relatively short and is very sturdy on his feet, almost in a Quarter Horse way. This means that spinning and running is something of a favorite past time of his, and it is a great contributor to the cry of "loose horse" at the track.
However, he is not utterly useless. He is viciously competitive, and if not kept under wraps he will bite other horses on the track, even though he is usually quite sociable in the barn. He likes to fight for the lead as much as possible, but does not always have the stamina to keep up for long, even though he has tremendous power. He hates losing, and is certainly a sore loser who will sulk if he does poorly in a race. He hates anything that is slow going, which includes warm ups, cool downs, hot walkers, standing around in barns and even being in a trailer can rile him up. He doesn't know anything about personal space, and if you don't know what you're doing he'll walk all over you. He positively explodes under tension and is the type who will rear and work himself into a lather just before a race, and the only time he will stand dead still is in the gate. So while he isn't all too popular in the barn or on the workout track, he makes up for it when he explodes out of the starting gate, and practically bullies every horse there into falling behind him, because while he may not be the biggest horse out there, he certainly doesn't believe he isn't. In his eyes, he's the meanest, fastest beast on the block and he makes a point of reminding everyone of that.
