Meredith Hently had felt proud about herself she was having a good day and she felt the need to grab David on the way to the stables. "So on my way to the tracks want to run with me and the equine's?" She asked with a bright smile abroad her face. David nodded his head as he got up from studying his paper and the two headed to the stables. Meredith would be riding a son to hall of fame inductee Everyday Hero named Dragonheart a colt that showed his bay colorings underneath his grey pelt. He had been fired up rising himself to the air and kicking. "Now now Draco that's no way for you to act around me. I thought we have been through this." She said rubbing his nose seeming to calm him down.
David however was riding a son to Merry Bay King, A Royal Legacy one to be lazy upon the tracks. David wanted to work with him before he was to retire and maybe he would race one more year before he would. Both horses were up against a tough field and they had to be prepared. Roy acted as a royal heir being cocky and pampered whereas Dragonheart was a nasty horse with pure attitude. Both colts were not seemed to deal with one another and stayed on far sides of the turf track. When the two were off towards their normal routine, Roy took his time as a strong closer he liked to wait for the other horses to tire before taking his turn to show his glory.
Dragonheart was a preceder he would precede onto horse to horse til he reached the front and he would try to scare the other horse down until he got his position. They were not racing but just going for a little breeze however both horses didn't see it that way. These horses were one in a million and if ever raced together it would be a massive show down.
They had come to their finish lines and Draco only snorting through his nostrils pounded the ground at Roy who was bobbing his head away like kids jumping on a trampoline. "After you Mere, we should both cool them down huh?" David suggested as he had Roy follow Meredith and Draco off the track to get cleaned up and prepared for when race day came.
