He is under contract, but yes, I am offering Ode To Glory for sale.
This is a big opportunity to purchase a great racehorse and really promising stud prospect. As such, this is not first-come, first-serve.
Ode To Glory
Grade One Racehorse, Co-Winner of the Y12 Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf w/ Blue Me Away
Why am I selling this horse?
I have worked with Ode for a very long time now, and he has just never clicked with me. Now I face throwing him to the dogs again in the Universal Cup, and I realized that he might do better with more focused owner. Ode will just never be my top dog turfer like I want him to be, at least for me. With somebody else, he has a better chance. He also has fantastic stud prospects, but I have a very high number of other studs, such as Infinite Warcry and Worldbreaker, that I would rather breed to right now.
How will Ode do as a racehorse for the rest of the season?
Ode is actually having a pretty good season, but he is clearly not the best horse out there. He is good enough to run with and surprise the best though, and he actually has two HoTY wins so far this season. I have plans to send him to the Breeders Cup Turf but I may have another candidate better suited for the task. Ode will do better with an owner who will work more with him and is willing to campaign him at less than the highest possible level all the time.
How is Ode a fantastic stud prospect?
His sire All For Glory is a grade one racehorse. He is also the sire of Witch Creek's mare Dirty Diana. That's two grade one racehorses, including Ode, out of this sire. As for his dam, On To The Spotlight is a grade one winner who was very impressive on the track. She won five Encouragement Awards over the course of her career and a really impressive 27 races, including the Cox Plate (twice), the Continental Cup (twice), the Dream Cup and the Pegasus Stakes. As a broodmare, she has been doing exceptionally well. Her other foals include In The Spotlight and Spotlight Pride.
With connections like these, who wouldn't want Ode To Glory as a stud prospect?
