BREEDER'S CUP UPDATE:
By the time the Breeder's Cup came around, OVS had dropped their entrants to one: Daydream. She was entered in the BC Filly and Mare Sprint, a rather tough race with Dirty Diana, Ventura, and Alouette Divine ruling the track. After a rather unfortunate run, Daydream pulled in a 6th, and ended her last race ever. Before the Breeder's Cup, it was debated if she would run part of year fifteen before being bred to Buccaneer. After a recent press release from the Chay's, Daydream has been pulled from her career as a racehorse and is now retired. When asked, Felicity Chay responded "We just feel like Daydream is done running. After her performance in the Breeder's Cup, it's become very clear that her heart is no longer in running. We wish we could have given her a longer racing career, but we cannot make a horse win any races. In the interest of her health and future as a broodmare at OVS, the six year old mare has been retired."
THE RETURN OF MEADOW CREEK ORIGINALS:
Oceanic View is proud to announce the return of six original horses started here on Green Horse Fields. Felicity spent many months searching for the former Meadow Creek horses that had not been seen since it's closing back in 2008 (Y6/Y7). With help from Star Thoroughbred's owner, Felicity stumbled across four stallions and two mares. Since then, they have settled into OVS and are going to start their careers as broodmares and studs starting this year.
