Personality: For such a little guy, Song Of Ascent has quite a big personality. He seems to live under the motto "anything you can do, I can do better" and is quite a fancy prancer in the way he walks around. He thinks he's hot stuff, and isn't afraid to let anyone know it. He's quite cocky and competitive, and runs pretty hot and cold on whether or not he's willing to put up with whatever his jockey is trying to get him to do. He's a rough handle,and requires someone who really knows what they're doing, or really understands him, to succeed. He eats like he'll never see food again, and runs like he's been set on fire. While he is very selfish and definitely thinks he's better than you, he doesn't have a mean bone in his body, and while he will fuss about like a foal until he gets his way, he's not a violent or untrustworthy horse. He's a diligent worker, and is very responsive when you've earned his attention, which takes a while. Respect is mutual for him, and if you give him your heart, he'll give you his. He is super fearless which makes him daring on the track, and willing to try movements and maneuvers that another horse might spook at. He's a big goof, and is always getting into trouble with something, so a close eye has to be kept on him. He is not a patient horse, so if you want him to do something, you better do it quickly. He has the attention span of a poorly trained and over excited dog, and he's always sticking his nose in other people's business. He thrives in the spotlight and loves attention, and will do anything for a reward. Overall, he's quite a hardy little horse, and once you figure him out, a pleasure to be around and work with.
