Personality
Max is a very big, dominant and powerful colt - standing at seventeen hands with an attitude so strong and tough that he thinks he can out run any horse, which is Callie's eyes, he possibly could. His mannerisms don't cause training problems for him, in fact with his mentally strong attitude, it makes his running easier. He is a very mentally tough horse and he is full of energy all the time. In the paddock he shows his dominance over the other horses. He'll play fight and rear up, before charging round the field, bucking and galloping. During his tacking up, he isn't fussed. He flinches at the girth and tends to stamp his back leg and pin his ears, but as soon as Callie is mounted he settles and behaves. Ears pricked, he steps out onto the dirt and the feeling of power and strength comes upon him. Callie thinks he knows what his job is, and he knows what he has to do to succeed in being a powerful racer. During his workouts he charges like he's a knight, with the swish of his tail. He has to have a stronger bit in his mouth as his unbearable strength needs to be kept under control. All in all, he is an overly powerful specimen of a horse with the conformation to die for.
