Zachary's Darkest Shield is a strange filly, to say the least. She isn't distracted easily from her duty. However, while most would assume that a racehorse's job is to race, Weapon seems to have chosen a less obvious role. The black filly is determined to protect her rider. There is no clue as to where this bizarre protective instinct has sprung from, but it exists nonetheless. Weapon is more well behaved than some horses of her age; she isn't particularly irritable, and doesn't usually bite or kick. Despite this good behaviour, there are few who truly enjoy being in her presence. Weapon has a disturbing habit of staring at horses and humans alike. She doesn't drop the said stare easily, and the intensity of her calculating gaze has caused many to describe her as 'unnerving'. In the paddock, she is often found far from the other horses, in a shadowed region of the field.
Weapon is often seen as aloof, and even emotionless, by some. She does not express affection or the like very often. That is not to say the Weapon is emotionless. She simply does not find herself inclined to express emotion often.
On the track, Zachary's Darkest Shield is a force to be reckoned with. She is not massive, but she does possess a lot of stamina. Her inclination to protect her rider lead her to be moderately aggressive on the track. Weapon is not lazy, but she does not adore galloping as much as some. She isn't too fond of crowds, possibly due to her lack of inclusion in the paddock, so she keeps close to the front rather than cramped in the middle. Weapon is clever, as her calculating nature shows, so she does not expend all her energy and fight in battling constantly for the position at the front of the herd.
