Well hello everyone my name is Andrea Smith and I am here with Angela Renzo with Nature Blues stables Y15 foal follow up, meaning how are these guys developing and what future's they may have. So please let's get started.
Hello, Angela thank you for meeting with me today I know this interview may go a little long but I hear rumors of a Y15 foal rivalry already in stored is this true?
AR: Hello Andrea I am pleased to be here and yes this is actually true while we have 11 Y15 foals, we do have some rivals planned out already. Our first pair we have decided that In My Remains and Sillencio would definitely fight for the Triple Crown if not then the Canadian. We are all aware of the rivalry of both True Enough and Merry Bay King had and we would like to see the continuation of this. Our second pair of rivals for Y15 would be our GS SuperCharged siblings.
As you can see Andrea with the photo of the left, In My Remains has a very thin body frame with well toned shoulder muscled which he gets from both his sire Impressario and his dam Dark Sunrise, who is yes a daughter to our own True Enough. In My Remains has impeccable breeding I see him doing great things. Now the photo on the left is of our Sillencio a good muscled colt who will also have a thin frame but more muscle massed than most which is good to hold the stamina.
AS: They look amazing. So are you really calling your Y15 foal crop sort of like an experiment or was it something else?
AR: No, well some of our Y15 crop I would say some would be good for undercard races but this year I think we have some pretty good matching pairs. We have our broodmare Midnight Sun paired with Tears of Blood which in turn creates us a wonderful foal that will also favor both surfaces and runs sprints. I feel our Y15 crop will do excellent in the fields they are trained for.
AS: Alright, I will take your word on that...What made you guys want to pair Aces Diamond Rio with a mare like Heart of Stone? She was to retire this season for her aggression is this right?
AR: Heart of Stone is a mare greatly known in our stables for her aggression but she is not our only one. Samantha had talked me out of retiring her because she has some potential at making wonderful foals. Let's take Passion Heart for example, she became a horse unknown and unfavored until she became quite known and favored within months under Grayson Meadows and she is a Grade One. And it seems she is progressing with her career. Insolence has shown small aggressive behavior but so far she seems more like her sire than her mother.
AS: Excellent. Well thank you Angela that is all the time we have for today I look forward to seeing these foals grow up to become champions. Enjoy the rest of your day and we will see you next time.
