REFLECTED IN WATER jockeyed by Meredith Hently
Kiss your title stakes was just around the corner and the field was massive with all horses who won plenty of HOTY races and massive winnings like entrant Nightshade she was a beast for an elder horse and would be the one to catch in the end. Reflected in Water was out for revenge after her last race it would not be the end for the industrious filly. Meredith would ease into the pack before taking her move out on Nightshade. Their was also Limited Edition and what Meredith called rival Battle Wings into the race as well. Not only them but the known In Front was someone Remi had not been up against.
The bay filly had done a marvelous job the pass few years and she wouldn't give up her title so quickly. Meredith walked her about before taking her out to wake her muscles, urge her nerves a bit. The mare would shine in her return as she snorted and followed her trusted jockey without showing any issues. Remi was a bit dramatic at times but with her dams personality sparking its way out she would be nasty preceder out there with no second chances. Meredith soon stopped the mare and while on the saddle, Remi flicked her tail at her jockey to indicate of the rough motion.
The start was good Reflected in Water pulled out nicely with a gallop she was used to. Soon Meredith gave the command for a new speed and Remi did so with her own mind. The bay mare brushed passed the pole marker with an exceptional speed the track echoing her hoof steps. She pushed at a faster pace along the stretch looking as if she was slightly flying with her jockey holding tightly to the reins in her hands. She would need anything to catch Nightshade and the likes of In Front, Limited Edition, and her rival to get what she wanted out of her victory.
The Radiance daughter forward her ears as she ran and when she turned the final round it was like a mere blur to those standing on the side watching. Once Remi was off it would take loads to catch her and that was where she would accept any challenge. She passed her final marker and then slowed her pace with the end of the workout with her half rearing at the end to the disruption of her stride. "Woah Remi, its okay girl we are done now. Let's just take on the big ones in the race huh." She assured her four legged friend as she trotted the filly off the dirt tracks to await her victory at the finish line come race day.
