Hello friends! Based on my past success with sales/leases of my older horses, I have decided to continue the tradition this season. The horses I offer to sell mid-career tend to take right off when settled into their new homes, i.e. Ode To Glory, Alucard, Moondance, etc. The horses I offer to lease for a season tend to mirror this pattern as well, as we saw with Sweet Inferno. So for Y16, I offer the following opportunity.
Call of the Wild will be up for lease for the entirety of Year Sixteen. This grade one performer has always been knocking at the door for greatness and doubtless will truly shine as a five year old, but he will be overshadowed in my older turf roster if he stays with me next season. This solid HoTY performer deserves a better chance in another home.
What will you get from leasing him? Well, you'll get yourself a horse that hasn't competed out of HoTY races for virtually all of the past two seasons. Call is your ticket to the best senior turf races. He is an absolutely solid stallion and would make a fine senior turfer for any member.
But what will you actually get out of leasing him? For starters, a breeding reserve. A breeding to Call gives you direct access to the coveted turf line of Wild Flower, and one the sire side you have a Breeders Cup Turf winner for a grandsire and, one generation back from that, prolific broodmare Foolish Entity. Further deals can be worked out over time.
So, what is there not to like? A proven grade one performer with at least one breeding right to an equally solid and prolific pedigree. If I were looking for a serious performer for next season, I'd jump at this opportunity!
----------------------------
I am also considering leasing out some other potentials for next season.
Foremost among the potentials is Impressionable. This hard-knocking filly has a pedigree of gold but has been experiencing a lot of difficulty with me this season. I feel as though a season under the capable hands of somebody else may bring her back into her own before retirement or potentially a five year old season. She is a solid filly, but she is in need of further attention.
If anybody is interested in leasing either of these two horses, please reply to this thread or PM me letting me know! This is a golden opportunity, and I hope somebody out there will take it XD
