Grayson Meadows: The Breeders’ Cup
Last year some sort of magic came upon the newly formed Grayson Meadows at the Breeders’ Cup. They were a new contender in the olympics against the tried and proven gold medalists. Somehow, they came out the winner of three races, the Juvenile Turf, the Filly and Mare Turf, and the Filly and Mare Turf Sprint. This year they’re coming back with only five entrants and not a single juvenile participating. When questioned about the unusual entries Tanner Grayson simply replied with: “None of our juveniles are in the kind of form we would like them to be in. Yes we have a few Grade Three runners but they haven’t faced competition like this all season, or even in a single race. They aren’t ready. It may be the Breeders’ Cup, and we above all know that anything can happen there, but we aren’t confident enough in our juvenile string to send them there.”

Tears Of An Angel
Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf Sprint
A winner of nearly half her starts, Tears Of An Angel has been on fire all season. With a smashing 31 wins, 21 of them HOTY races this mare is the real deal and when it really counts she’s there to show her competition that they are going to have to run the race of their life to beat her. She’s the underdog winner of last years Filly and Mare Turf Sprint, when she was in perhaps the worst form of her life Tears Of An Angel rallied to outrun the highly acclaimed Innocent Passion and Silver Serendipity. This mare is looking to take this race in back to back seasons and she’ll be right there at the wire when race day comes.
Dare To Impress
Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf
The Y14 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf winner is back and ready to show that her win last year was no fluke. “She’s been training really well, I just wish we would have gotten her into some more races this season, but I think she’ll still be just as strong going in as she was last year,” said trainer Steve Wilson. “We had a lot of success in this race last year, we’re hoping this year will be no different,” co-owner Tanner Grayson commented, referring to last years running where Grayson Meadows’ contenders Dare To Impress and the late Passion Heart ran one two in the race.

Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint
After throwing two clunkers and placing 4th back to back after having NEVER placed out of the money in her whole career, Grayson Meadows’ is tentatively sending her to the Breeders’ Cup Filly And Mare Sprint. “She had been doing so well, Aaron’s looking into it and hoping she can get it straightened out in the next three weeks, but if not she very well may not go,” said Grayson. “It’s very odd that she ran the way she did these past two weeks, we’re hoping a short break can get her to gather herself but at this point we think she needs time, which isn’t something we have a lot of,” said trainer Aaron Evertt.

Breeders’ Cup Turf Marathon
Winless in 4 months and has yet to beat older horses. One would think Grayson Meadows’ would have taken the safe route on this one and skipped the Breeders’ Cup. And co-owner Tanner Grayson said they nearly did. “He’s been running so well against older horses, and few starts he’s had this season. If he wasn’t considered to be one of the best turf routers in the country he wouldn’t be there. This horse loves the 11 and 12 furlong range and on top of being royally ticked off he’s out to run a big one. He did just debunk arch rival Pandora, which we were overjoyed about.”

Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint
The superstar filly finally got her win against older horses this season and according to trainer Aaron Evertt has been training like an absolute monster. The 1st Turf Triple Sprinter Crown winner will be going to the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint; which will likely be her toughest test yet. “We think she’s up to it, I don’t think she’s ever looked better in training,” said Tanner Grayson. A winner of nearly half her starts and 13 HOTY races, 9 of those from this season alone it’s hard to argue that this filly isn’t one of the top sprinters in the country. “I’m excited to see her run with Demonic Desires, I think she can keep up with him,” trainer Aaron Evertt said.
