JANUARY 2016 MEMBER INTERVIEW WITH CAVALLO
1. How did you find GHF/TW, and when did you join?
I joined GHF and created TW back in 2008. A lot of the people in my SIM circle on MHS (Major Horse Shows) were starting to veer away from the showing side and were focusing on breeding Thoroughbreds and racing, so we began to carry over some of our horses to GHF and then seeing a need for more racing options, Myself and Carmen (my original partner in crime), decided to create The Wire. It went strong for a year, but then I had stepped away because of school and then decided to poke about in 2012, saw some of the people still in the game and then the rest is history.
2. How did you get your username, is there any specific meaning attached to it?
LOL I was SO creative back in my school days. Cavallo is "horse" in Italian/Spanish and so there you go. I became Cavallo and it's stuck since and become abbreviated to Cav, Cavvy....
3. What is your favorite thing about GHF/TW?
Sounds repetitive, but it really is the people. You all make this game worthwhile and of course this is as close as I'm going to get right now for owning any kind of horse...
This is also a nice de-stressor for me and a chance to escape RL stresses.
4. Describe yourself, how tall are you? What color are your eyes and hair? What is your clothing style? What month and day is your birthday? What is your astrological sign? Chinese animal?
I am 5'8, I have hazel/brown eyes with dirty blonde hair (straight as a board - my hair really doesn't hold a curl well). I like to think that I'm a very trendy person. My style could be described as a fancy bohemian hipster lol. I don't do the grunge look, but I like those loose flowing clothes, ballet flats, boots and fringe sandals....you get the idea. lol So if you want to go shopping let me know. My jam stores are Forever 21, H&M, Zara, Cotton On and Francesca's...to name a few. xD
I was born September 27th. I don't really believe in astrology and that Chinese animal signs, but I am a Libra and my Chinese animal is the snake (ironic because I'm terrified of them).
5. Do you have a mantra/saying/adage?
It is what is is...I say that a lot...or when my friends say something ridiculous... "I'm done with you!" lol
6. What are your favorite activities?
Reading, playing on my new xbox one lol, coming online and playing with you all.
7. Who is your favorite famous horse trainer?
I will fangirl right now and say Bob Baffert. LOL
8. Do you collect anything?
I collect books. Sounds nerdy but it's real. lol Like Series and all that jazz.
9. Do you have a job? Are in you in school?
I do have a full time job. I actually work for top 5 insurance corporation as a customer service rep and a coach for new hires. So that's fun. I'm currently not in school, but my job will pay for my tuition so I plan to go back for my master's some time in Business.
10. Do you have pets?
Sadly no pets....
11. What kind of car do you drive?
I drive a 2014 Toyota Corolla. I got it brand new and she's my baby.

13. What are your strengths?
I'm a very good person to communicate ideas and concepts in person. Motivating, coaching and inspiring people to become a better version of themselves is something that really inspires me and makes me feel accomplished. I have a knack for getting people on board with concepts, plans and ideas. I'm a naturally very confident person, but I wouldn't say that I'm proud or unapproachable to view other people's viewpoints and feedback.
14. What are your weaknesses?
For as driven as I can be, when I crash...I crash and I get really lazy lol Which you might have seen when I get online and put off doing my workouts.
15. How are you odd?
I'm like a trendy nerd. It's weird. I like all the nerdy movies, sci-fi's and yeah....I'm a very eclectic person.
16. What is your most embarrassing moment?
Probably one time in High School....A friend and I were actually doing a TB breeding experiment with genetics. We had bred one of our Agricultural Teacher's broods to play around with predicting coat colors...yada yada. Well one day we had to give Page, the mare, a bath during class...needless to say it was a wet affair, but I had packed clothes to change into. Well, I headed back early to change quickly in the class before anyone got back...I went into the room next door because they're connected to prevent anyone from walking in on me...but as you can guess, that wasn't the case and one of the male teachers walked in on me JUST as I was pulling down my shirt...HAWKWARD.
I was ragged on for days.
17. What is your most triumphant moment?
Probably graduating from college with my Bachelor's. I was the second kid in my immediate family to accomplish that
18. What is your worst memory?
Probably the passing of my last grandmother. I really wanted her to be alive to see me get married...but unfortunately that didn't happen.
19. What is your best memory?
Travelling the west coast with my family as a kid. We went to LA for a charity thing and then just travelled hitting all the hot spots and moving over to Nevada to see Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam in Utah...the National Sequoia Park in CA...it was fun...lots of good memories.
20. What do you fear?
I fear not accomplishing my goals and dreams and being alone. I don't want to spend my life isolated.
21. What do you dream?
I want to one day be a life coach and then teach at the college level as a professor. I also dream of just travelling. Going over to Europe and seeing many other places outside of the US.
22. Describe yourself in five words.
Confident. Ambitious. Self-Motivated. Compassionate. Understanding.
23. Do you have any secrets?
They wouldn't be secrets if I shared them lol
24. Do you hide anything about yourself?
Sometimes I hide my inner nerd. Not that I'm ashamed, but depending upon who I'm around, the nerdy things just don't come up in conversations or topics.
25. Do people misunderstand you in any way?
I think sometimes they can mistake my confidence for arrogance. Like another fear of mine is to not have people like me...so to have someone think that I would put others down of think of myself more highly than others is devastating to me.
26. Explain why you are the way you are.
I would say my family, my experiences and the mentors in my life have all shaped me to become the motivated and confident person that I am today. I have the best family support ever.
27. If you have three genie wishes, what would you wish for and why?
Have my dream job, have a never ending supply of money, to find my husband (lol i went there)
28. Any last comments you want to say about yourself?
I LOVE YOU GUYS! Life can get crazy, but we can only manage it day by day. I want you all to feel like you belong here. So fi you have problems, questions or concerns, please don't think I'm too busy to lend a listening ear. I consider you all to be friends. <3
