It was a promising day to say the least especially for the the spring season to usually have come and gone. The magic Millions race has come around and Terri Lane would be riding the handsome colt Tuff E' Nuff along the journey. The light bay colt stood proudly waiting for his jockey to take the saddle, Striker was quite the surprise in the early season and is still pushing the limits of his talents. The colt had two wins out of five starts all within the money limits, breaking his Maiden during his second time out to win the Unicorn Horn Juvenile Dirt. Tuff E' Nuff was showing class and pride something the staff was hoping for in the long run. Terri approached the tall colt rubbing his muzzle as she soon took her place on his back, Striker only flicking his tail and bobbing his head in joy over his human. "Its like he knows." Terri said glancing over at Samantha who wanted in on the action with this one. "Don't get cocky Terri, this race is the Magic Millions and he will be facing colts of his own age. Be cautious out there." Samantha spoke with wisdom and care.
Terri could only smile and nod towards the co-owner of their beloved stables. Meredith Hently soon joined the other jockey and the co-owner on the back on Kindly Enough, a full sister to the legend himself True Enough. Kindly Enough seemed to be all over the place and needed a new direction She would soon set to run in her own division against the ladies or so Meredith hope she would pick up soon. The heart shaped star on her head was quite noticeable and she was known around as the pampered princess something of the opposite of her older brother. "I would like a piece of this action." Meredith said with a bright smile on her face. "I feel Nell here will be my next Reflected in Water or The Apathy at least." She said before shaking her own head.
"Come on Mere let's take them to about 6 furlongs see where we go from there." Terri said before she walked Striker in the right position as he ignored his smallish Aunt to appeal his position on the track. The two set the two horses loose on the tracks Nell immediately rushing to the lead from the start, Striker's massive frame kept him in the back of the pack to gain his momentum. Terri let Striker set his own pace while following the smaller filly. Kindly Enough was also a filly to push her limits just a tad bit her tiny frame and huge leg muscles pushed her to exceed the right furlongs. Eventually within minutes Tuff E' Nuff had enough of the back and began to pick up speed his hooves echoed each time they touched the ground.
Nell threw her ears back as she could hear the approaching colt as she snarled through her nostrils slowing her pace a little and when Striker came face to face with his aunt his tail rose and the two looked at each other before Striker then took off with an amazing speed to hit the marker by a nose grab with his Aunt. When the two horses slowed Striker shook off the run as if that was nothing. Terri rubbed the colt's neck and walked him off the track before giving off a wave to Meredith and Kindly Enough with a bright smile.
