Personality: New Tide or "Tide" , is a hot tempered and hard working colt. Like a picky child pushing away his vegetables, Tide only likes certain mounts. If he does not like you, he will tell you. Most noticeably is his constant head flipping and disobeying of any signals the exercise rider him. His short temper deems him a "bully" when he is in the paddock. It is a constant battle to keep him from kicking or lunging out at the horse in front or behind of him, so watch your toes. Even though Tide can he hard to work with, he clearly loves to burn energy. When on the track he is full force, a total of 1200 pounds thundering down the track. On the backside, he is known as the horse that loves to bite, only because it is true. Anyone who approaches Tide better be careful and watch their fingers!
Being a Preceder, New Tide prefers anywhere from second to fourth, he's comfortable when galloping against others but hates to be alone behind the pack or all the way in the front. His starts are fairly easy, preferring the inside. When it comes down to the final turn for home, Tide is all fire.
